The Lloyd's building, the City skyscraper turned inside out, hand-painted in watercolour by Jen Russell-Smith.

Richard Rogers put the lifts, pipes and ducts on the outside to keep the inside open, giving the home of Lloyd's of London a look that drew comparisons to an oil rig and a coffee percolator when it opened in 1986. Twenty-five years later it became the youngest building ever granted Grade I listed status, the highest protection there is.
